Now We Rave 9...

After an unusually long absence from blogging there is now a vague feeling of guilt clouding over above my head, of which I intend to remedy by publishing lots of music in quick succession.

So, the first installment shall be a this Now We Rave post, followed by a copious amount of techno. However that will come in due course.

Firstly, we the title track from Turbo's latest release: Gessafelstein - Variations. Nothing short of unadulterated Turbo Techno from start to finish, it's had plenty of support from several big names and it's fairly obvious why.

Gessafelstein - Variations

Released on Turbo on 9/11/2010.

Next up is Boris D's most recent remix, and his second remix for Electro-Rock band Goose. It's got 'Erol Alkan' written all over it.

Goose - Words (Boris Dlugosch Remix)

Definitely check out his older remix of Bring It On.

Japanese Popstars return to form with their collaboration with the legendary Green Velvet. A a number of good remixes on the EP but the original keeps to the JapStars original sound and eclipses the rest by far.

Japanese Popstars - Let Go

Pick up the full EP on Beatport now.

Dada Life unleash another full on Electro House stomper, as much as the title suggests.

Dada Life - Unleash the Fucking Dada

A relatively new artist, Ukrainian Felix Luker, has recently come to my attention. In short, he produces dirt. That is all.

Felix Luker - Mechanical

And I'll leave you with a recent teaser from Turbo. And tease it does. The Proxy returns.

One Big ol' Update!

Right, it's been a good couple of weeks since either of us posted anything, and for that I apologise. I've been fairly busy planning our trip to Exit this year, and Dom's got his final exam soon, but we'll both be posting like mad shortly.

This post is basically full of all the essential tunes of the last couple of weeks, all bundled into one update. They're all really electro/disco/house, not really any techno in this one. More individual posts coming soon.

Breakbot - Baby I'm Yours (Aeroplane Remix)

Darkens the original but keeps Aeroplane's disco vibe.

Ocelot - Beaking Hearts (Louis La Roche Remix)

More Louis = More Disco.

Proxy - Vibrate (Bloody Beetroots Remix)

Probably one of the weaker remixes on the EP, other than the Trance remix by Sound of Stereo...
Still filthy, however the original, Noob and SoS remixes are all, well, better.

Chemical Brothers - Horse Power

The British duo have done it again with their new album. Horse Power is a banger. Reminiscent of Erol Alkan and Boys Noize's Avalanche. No wonder it's in his chart this month then.

Evil Nine - Ultimo

Evil Nine unveil their new record label 'For Lovers' with this incredible track.

Felix Cartal - World Class Driver (Harvard Bass Remix)

Finally got this remix. I love Felix. I love Harvard Bass. Enough said.

Mako Records

Proxy. Russian. Producer of some of the finest heavy electro/techno tracks of recent years. His tune 'Raven' has been remixed countless times, and played in live sets even more. A sure crowd pleaser.

Then there's Dance In Dark. A track that brilliantly lures the listener into a false sense of security with it's charming, if nonsensical, vocals, before bringing them crashing down to earth through their eardrums. I even know metal fans who love Proxy.

Now he has his own record label, Mako Records. After the success of his first two releases, Marseille - UFO Attacks EP and The Mould - Soldier Take A Rifle, it looks like he's teaming up with another Russian producer and friend, Polymorphic, for his third release.

Viewer Discretion is advised.
